TEAM ROCKET EXPLORES THE ULTRA WILDS to seize these alien domains for themselves. They must amass resources, grow their territory, and strangle the League's influence in order to further their incursions into Hoenn's mainland.[break][break]

However, THE LEAGUE does not dally. The League has already explored these extraterrestrial worlds for resources too. Now, Hoenn's League must fight against Rocket's expansion.[break][break]

As the alien earth is tilled, excavated, and repurposed, trainers find themselves encountering all kinds of artifacts... and foes.

Ultra Crater, Ultra Desert, Ultra Plant, or Ultra Sea will be the only locations available for this event.

HOW TO PLAY

THIS EVENT WILL REQUIRE SOME MODICUM OF TEAMWORK & PLANNING. As your characters explore, excavate, and prepare the Ultra Wilds for their respective factions, they will face several obstacles and levels. To clear them, your characters must coordinate their Pokemon's moves in order to clear TILE PROMPTS.[break][break]

In particular, this event will have a heavy focus on a POKEMON MOVE'S POWER (can be found on the move's articles in Bulbapedia, etc.).[break][break]

Sometimes these TILE PROMPTS will ask for STATUS MOVES (e.g. moves that change weather, inflict status conditions, raise or lower the stats of Pokemon, etc.) or ask for narrative prompts (e.g. engage in an argument that does not resolve).[break][break]

EXAMPLE[break]

For the tiles requiring a TOTAL POWER to be reached, you will need to hit the EXACT TOTAL unless specified otherwise. For example, for the TOP RIGHT TILE REQUIRING 600 POWER, a team of four and their Pokemon can clear the tile if everyone uses HYDRO CANNON (150 POWER).[break][break]

However, if your characters' Pokemon do not possess certain moves, you may need to post more than once to reach the total. For this reason, post order does not need to be maintained in this event.[break][break]

When clearing tiles, your characters may unearth surprises underneath. These hidden prizes may include items, pokedollars (represented by items), and/or narrative surprises like a League/Team Rocket attack, etc.[break][break]

EXAMPLE[break]

Depending on the TILE PROMPT, you may create a narrative obstacle other than an excavation-related hurdle. For example, your characters may have to fend against a sudden meteor shower or hostile Pokemon that have been displaced into the realm.[break][break]

If Shiv is able to, he may sprinkle surprises and more absurd happenings throughout! However, for speed of posting and general organization, there will likely only be 2-3 versions of these series of tiles.

However, completing your Quarry thread by the deadline will grant your characters an exceptionally rare reward:[break][break]

A COSMOG will be able to be caught by each of your characters. However, this COSMOG will not be able to evolve into a SOLGALEO or LUNALA. Opportunities to evolve the COSMOG into a COSMOEM may be possible in the future, but do not exist now.[break][break]

The gathered rewards are only redeemable and usable AFTER THE QUARRY THREAD has been completed.

GENERAL RULES

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES. If you have any questions, feel free to ask shiv in Discord or on site.[break][break]

• Shiv will include a (QUARRY) tag to your thread titles. E.g. "LOCKDOWN PROCEDURE (QUARRY)" or "POINTY BLADES OF NARAKA [QUARRY]".
• Only ONE CHARACTER of yours may participate.
• Quarry Teams need to have a MINIMUM OF TWO CHARACTERS and a MAXIMUM OF FOUR CHARACTERS. Please be aware, depending on the number of participating characters, the level of difficulty may vary.
• Everyone must contribute to the tile's prompt in order for the tile to be destroyed.
• Used pokemon moves must have a base power + multi-strike moves will only apply their POWER once.
• Power-altering moves and abilities will not affect a move's POWER in this event.
• Your character will have access to all the Pokemon in your PC. Furthermore, you can catch Pokemon to help you complete the Quarry challenge even after the challenge has started.
• Unless stated otherwise in the moderator's post, please only use ONE MOVE per post. You do not need to ROLL unless prompted to. Depending on the tile's prompt, your available Pokemon, and/or the number of characters in your Quarry team, you may have to post multiple times to destroy a tile.
• You can only DESTROY ONE TILE IN BETWEEN MODERATOR POSTS (PER ROUND).
• POSTING ORDER is not important in this event.
• Shiv will create the Quarry thread for you once your team's sign-up post has confirmed a "Ready Check".

STALLED THREAD?

IF A WRITER can not post in a timely manner, has ghosted the site, has not communicated, etc. and is placing your Quarry thread at risk of incompletion, then there are several options you can take:[break][break]

• Continue posting without them.
• Replace the writer/character with another. Depending on where in the run you are, the replacement writer or character may be able to reap the previously earned rewards.

Please COMMUNICATE WITH SHIV should you or a writer not be able to fulfill their role on the Quarry team. Occasionally, Shiv will also comb through threads to check for inactive writers.[break][break]

TRY TO COMPLETE THIS EVENT IN A TIMELY MANNER. You will not be able to rush this event on the last day, for the requirement of moderator posts in between each tile will slow completion down.
